Look what I made for my SIL! Super L calls it a diaper purse. It's not perfect, as you can see, the closure is way off center, but it is my first one. I don't know what I did wrong there, but... I already had the snaps on when I discovered the mistake. Oh well, once she puts diapers and wipes in it no one is really going to notice anyway. Right??! They'll be to busy looking at her cute baby.

I think she'll like it. She mentioned the last time I saw her that everyone with a baby seemed to have one and she really wanted one. (It's way better than the lame toy we gave her baby, because I didn't know what she wanted or needed, and I was paralyzed with not knowing.) I hope she likes the fabric, when I asked what colors she wanted I'm pretty sure she said she didn't care she just wanted one. I hope that's true!

My second hope is that she didn't break out her machine to try making one herself! Ah, who am I kidding? She has two young children and a baby!!! Hmmm....Nahhh

I'm going to have Super Dad send it this afternoon.

It was fairly easy to make. I made a boxy bottom, but I think next time I'll do it flat, like the bottom on a grocery bag. I may also change the closure but...I can fool around with that later. I have a bunch of baby showers coming up, I usually do burp cloths(It's surprising how hard it is to find good burp cloths!), but I think this might be my new baby shower gift. Fast, easy and very little fabric! This is a great thing to make if you've left everything to the last minute, like I seem to do, and need to scour your stash!
